AAVC Online Training
AAVC has developed a complete, self-paced, online training course for class, club, alumnae/i network, and affiliate group Web Content Managers and other volunteers who wish to edit and update their group's AAVC-sponsored website. This course trains volunteers how to use the "Chapter pages editor," a Word-like editing interface in a standard web browser, to edit and update their group website pages. No HTML or web design experience is necessary!
To take the AAVC online training course you must have the free Macromedia Flash Player Version 8 or above installed on your computer. Most computers already have the Flash Player installed, and if not, it can be downloaded here.
In addition, if you do NOT have a high-speed connection to the internet (DSL, cable, satellite), but are using dial-up access, you should use the links for the individual course segments, instead of downloading the entire course. The approximate dial-up access download time for each segment is noted below.
Finally, you may also download a .pdf document containing the text of the course and some of the images to keep as a handy reference document. You will need Adobe's free Acrobat Reader to view or print the course.
