Affiliate Groups
The alumnae/i association supports affiliate groups as a way to reach alumnae/i whose ties to the college are not always sustained through affiliation with their graduating class or regional club. The AAVC board has established a set of Guidelines for Affiliated Status for all alumnae/i groups who wish to form an affiliate group. Like classes and clubs, all affiliate group activities are self-supporting.

African American Alumnae/i of Vassar College (AAAVC) gathered on campus on November 7-9, 2008, to celebrate its Ninth Triennial. The weekend program was packed with faculty lectures, an alumnae/i and student career mentoring lunch, a panel discussion with President Catharine Hill and college trustees, and dinner and dancing. View a panel discussion video, review the complete program, or peruse a photo gallery from the event.

Alumnae/i Group Networks
With the expansion of AAVC’s Online Community, we are now beginning to develop and launch other alumnae/i group networks in collaboration with other Vassar departments. These alumnae/i group networks are informal gathering places for alumnae/i with common educational, student activity, or career backgrounds. Our current alumnae/i group networks are as follows:
- Vassar College Education Alumnae/i Network — connects Vassar alumnae/i and students who have studied and/or work in the field of education with each other and with Vassar’s education department
- Vassar College Justice Reform Network — connects Vassar alumnae/i and students who are interested and/or involved in justice reform, including Vassar's Prison program, with one another
- Vassar Lawyers Network — connects Vassar alumnae/i who have obtained a law degree with each other and with students at Vassar who are contemplating a career in the legal profession
- Vassar Lacrosse Alumnae/i Network — connects current and former Vassar lacrosse players with one another and keeps them up to date on how the teams are doing
