Images of the Inn
Alumnae House, The Inn at Vassar College is often referred to as the "House of a Thousand Treasures" because most of the contents were donated or made possible by alumnae/i. Unique, rare, and interesting objets d'art are on display and in use throughout the house.
The hand-painted ceiling of the living room serves as the perfect backdrop for one of Vassar's 65 Steinway pianos You will also find unique memorabilia such as a quilt commemorating the 75th anniversary of Alumnae House displayed on the second floor landing.
The paneled library, stocked with decades of Vassarions, the Vassar yearbook, as well as a large collection of books by Vassar alumnae/i authors is a cozy place to spend a winter afternoon.
The patio is the perfect setting for an alfresco lunch or dinner during warm weather, while the walnut paneled dining room, with its inlaid ceiling and minstrel's
gallery, is ideal for more formal gatherings—your wedding, special anniversaries, bar/bas mitzvahs or your next corporate dinner.
