Founder's Day

Alumnae/i are invited to return to campus for Founder’s Day on Saturday, May 1, 2010, to take part in the college’s festivities to honor Matthew Vassar, a visionary who believed that women should have access to higher education. Additionally, many regional clubs organize activities for their area alumnae/i to reconnect and reminisce about fond memories of Founder’s Day past.

Founder's Day 2008: Candyland

Approximately 120 alumnae/i from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and 00’s, celebrated Founder’s Day 2008 on campus. The day included events such as alumnae/i athletic events; games and rides for children of all ages; food from local restaurants; musical performances and entertainment; fireworks; and concluded with the showing of The Great Lollipop Adventure and the original Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Watch last year's Founder's Day video below.

Please contact Cathy Lunn, Director of Alumnae/i Relations for Programs, if you have a question regarding the celebration or would like to volunteer to organize an event for alumnae/i in your area.
